I visited MIND, the mental health charity, with a colleague, to give a workshop for staff and counsellors there.
The feedback was very positive and there was lots of interaction with many of the staff having an Alexander Technique ‘turn’.
They work very hard with limited resources to help and support those with mental health issues.
We can all feel down in the dumps, anxious or stressed, but most of us are, thankfully, a long way from true depression, which can be a debilitating condition.
It’s common knowledge that the Alexander Technique can help with physical problems such as back or posture issues, but it’s impossible to separate physical from mental, or mind/body connection.
